Oregon City High School is looking for an outstanding, dynamic French Teacher to join our World Languages department. Our ideal candidate is a collaborative team player who puts student success first and understands the importance of positive relationships with all students. The specific courses this teacher will teach have not yet been determined.
Special Requirements: (Certification, training, and specialty skills or previous experience) 1. Valid Oregon teaching license with an endorsement in French.
- Fluent French required.
- Knowledge and training in AVID and WICOR strategies preferred.
- Ability to use variety of teaching strategies to assess student learning in reading, writing, speaking, comprehension, and cultural understanding.
- Experience and knowledge of the use of technology in the language classroom.
- Ability to manage student behavior and provide a safe, culturally responsive learning environment.
- High School teaching experience preferred.
- Personal Attributes: High energy, creativity, collaborative, student-friendly, and excellent attendance.
